Italo Calvino said: “The more enlightened our houses are, the more their walls ooze ghosts.” Describe the ghosts that live in this house:
The ghosts. Hmmmm. In this windowless and door-less house I would like to think ghosts float in and out casually, not trapped by the features meant to keep things in. I would also like to think, despite being ghosts, being in a sunny field is a much nicer resting place than some of the dreary ghoulish houses ghosts are known for residing in. I like this prompt because I just recently watched the old 90’s film Ghost with Patrick Swazye and Demi Moore and it gave me a new perspective of what the afterlife can be like- if there even is one at all. I liked the idea behind it. So I would like to think that ghosts aren’t mean and scary, if they do exist, but that they can be nice and happy, just trapped. Also in the movie, at first Swayze’s character was hesitant of going through doors so I like that this house was chosen for this so that there are no worries, just free entrance. It’s very welcoming- just open.
